The decoration of the hotel's general areas was simply charming! It had a cozy and rustic feel to it, with beautiful wooden furniture and local artwork adorning the walls. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the accessibility of the hotel for us older folks. The pathways were well-maintained and easy to navigate, and there were plenty of comfortable seating areas where we could rest and soak in the breathtaking views.
I would have loved to see more activities tailored specifically for senior people. Just a little something to cater to our needs and make our vacation even more enjoyable.

The private beach at Wachakyta Ecolodge was a true paradise. We spent hours snorkeling and swimming with beautiful fish just 10 meters from the shore. The surrounding nature was breathtaking, with giant crabs and lizards roaming around. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and even took us on a hike to explore the area. The food prepared by the chef was exceptional and the beds in the huts provided a comfortable night's sleep, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in nature.

We enjoyed a fantastic hiking adventure through the surrounding jungle, discovering hidden waterfalls and breathtaking views. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters was an incredible experience, as we swam alongside colorful fish and vibrant coral reefs. And canoeing along the calm river was the perfect way to relax and take in the beauty of nature. to these activities, we discovered a charming coffee shop/cafe where we indulged in delicious treats, and a playground where the kids had a blast playing and making new friends. Wachakyta truly offers a wonderful range of family-friendly activities to enjoy!
For dads, it would be great to have more shaded areas at the beach for the children to play in.

My friends and I had an incredible time at a secluded beach house in a beautiful national park. the staff was friendly and accommodating, helping us with transportation and answering our questions. the beds were comfortable with stunning views of the beach and jungle. the beach had both sand and stone, and there were plenty of chill-out areas with hammocks and pillows. We enjoyed free snorkeling and kayaking, and the stars at night were breathtaking.
Limited vegetarian options for dinner.

I absolutely loved the guestroom at Wachakyta Ecolodge! It felt so cozy and welcoming, with a laptop-friendly workspace where I could catch up on some tasks. The bungalow had a private entrance and a balcony, and I could enjoy the stunning view from there. It was just perfect for me!
I personally didn't use the balcony much, but others might enjoy it differently.

We had a fantastic experience staying at Wachakyta. the beach house location was absolutely beautiful, offering a sense of tranquility and escape from the outside world. Despite being vegetarians and having limited Spanish-speaking skills, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in accommodating our needs. the private beach, along with the provided bean bags and hammocks, allowed for relaxing and comfortable outdoor experiences. the food was delicious, especially the seafood plate and morning pancakes. Snorkeling provided an opportunity to see a variety of fish. We highly recommend Wachakyta for a restful and enjoyable stay in nature. Cons: Nothing, all excellent! 👍.

We had a blast exploring the jungle and going on epic hikes. The snorkeling was dope too, we saw so many colorful fishes. And don't even get me started on the canoeing, it was like we were living in an adventure movie! This place is straight fire for adventure-seeking teens like us.
The only thing we wished for was a banging party scene. We wanted some wild parties to dance the night away.

We stayed for 4 days in one of the most beautiful places we ever visited. Swimming in the sea with a beautiful coral reef underneath was magical and unreal. the staff was generous and made us feel at home from the first minute. the private beach, kayaks, and hiking were amazing. the lodge is rustic and simple, which added to its charm. Snorkeling from the beach and chilling in our cabana were unforgettable experiences. the food and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. the staff, especially Cata, went above and beyond to make our stay special. Wifi is available at the lobby.
Felt so taken care of, no complaints.

I absolutely loved the charming and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration had a rustic and traditional feel, with beautiful local artwork displayed throughout the common areas. It made me feel like I was truly immersing myself in the culture of the region. Plus, the hotel's general areas were very accessible for senior people like me. The paths were well-maintained and there were resting areas with benches along the way, making it easy for me to navigate and take breaks if needed.
My only small suggestion for a better vacation experience for senior people would be to have a staff member available specifically to assist us if needed. Sometimes, it can be a bit overwhelming to rely on the younger staff members who might not fully understand the specific needs and concerns of older guests.

The decoration at Wachakyta Ecolodge was charming and had a warm, rustic feel. The general areas were well-maintained and provided a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with walkways and paths that were well-lit and free from obstacles. The staff was always attentive and ready to assist, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people would be for the staff to be more patient and understanding. Sometimes, the younger members of the team seemed in a rush and could benefit from taking more time to attend to the needs of older guests.

Incredible secluded location with a private beach and beautiful views. The treehouse accommodation was clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds and high-quality mosquito nets. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable. We loved the variety of chill-out areas, including hammocks and outside pillows, and the complementary use of snorkeling gear and a kayak. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with vegan and vegetarian options available upon request.
The only way to reach the hotel is by a 50-minute boat ride, which can be bumpy and may not be suitable for everyone. It would have been more convenient if the hotel had better communication channels, as it was difficult to get in touch through the website.
